Isn't it interesting how an image can change the more you look at it? My first impression of this image is that it's a close-up of a piece of fabric, perhaps a bed spread, or of a painting. It seems that I can vaguely make out some texture behind the colors, which lead me to the fabric possibility. The colors don't seem to be a normal "natural" palette, either, so I'm thinking that it must be man made.
Referring back to my original comment, however, the more I look at it, the more shapes jump out at me, like looking at clouds. Immediately I saw a face in the upper left corner. The two darker "flowers" make the eyes, the lighter blue, almost whiteish areas are the cheeks, with the medium blue are being the nose. Moving beyond this, the geometric shapes and the colors remind me of ice crystals forming on a cold winter window.
Oh boy, that's a tough one! My original thought was some sort of plants/seaweed underwater. What it really looks like is a painting on canvas but... man, I have no idea.
My first impression of this was that it was a dried plant.. like many others. Then i read the other comments and can really see the ice on a window theory. It does really look like a tapestry. The more i look at it the more options i can see.
I'm going to go with the ice crystals...It is purposely a very vague picture but it's not so much the color that gets me but the texture, it looks like thier are brush strokes...?
I'm going to agree with others and say that its either frost, or ice. The only other possibility is that it is something else, and the picture was taken through some kind of filter that gave it that hue.
Im unsure what this photo is of. Im thinking maybe some kind of plant, or leaf. Or it could possibly be ice or frost. Its hard to tell. But my first instinct is some kind of plant or leaves.

My first thought was that it looks like a zoomed in picture of ice crystals.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that the picture is of clouds or fog a top a snow covered mountain.
ReplyDeleteIs it an old dead tree?
ReplyDeleteHow about a very upclose grain of salt? I first thought like others it was ice but now I am thinking a grain of salt.
ReplyDeleteI have looked at this picture forever and I can't figure it out. All I can think of is a plant, but the color is off.
ReplyDeleteSome kind of a plant?
ReplyDeleteI think that it is the close up of frost on a glass or window!

ReplyDeleteI am going to guess, it is an Easter Lily plant. I am sure that is way off but that is what it resembles to me.
ReplyDeleteLorelei
It is frost on a window I believe.
