This is my complementary color scheme photo for the week. An obvious choice here on Fall Foliage Festival weekend in the NEKingdom. While complementary colors are jarring to the senses they really do bring out the best in each other. I have heard that the reason our senses love the complementary scheme (yellow/violet, orange/blue, red/green) is because all three primary colors are present in it. The scheme involves one primary color and a secondary color that is a combination of the other two primaries. In this photo I tried to focus the apple and get everything else fuzzy. I did not do a bad job with that...but the photo would be more effective if there was not the intense sun and shadow on it...Hmm an apple sounds good, I love to cut them around the equator instead of top to bottom to reveal the perfect five-pointed star inside...
